L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty Pro is a digital community empowering healthcare professionals to improve their daily practice of dermatology through cutting-edge research, science and education on skin and hair care.
Thanks to the prizes and grants it awards every year, La Fondation La Roche-Posay encourages fundamental and clinical research in dermatology, for example in the fields of photo-protection, skin microbiome and skin atopy. A jury made up of prominent dermatology professors evaluates and selects the projects deemed most deserving. The jury members meet and deliberate once a year during an international congress such as the EADV (European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology).
With these research grants, La Fondation La Roche-Posay hopes to improve the quality of life of patients by encouraging a better understanding of skin conditions and by driving research towards better and more effective dermatological solutions.
Supporting research projects of young dermatologists around the world
“The La Fondation La Roche-Posay grant provided me with the means to grow as an investigative dermatologist and generate data that led to two Dermatology Foundation grants, two Women's Dermatologic Society grants, and other foundation, industry, and federal funding. I am so grateful for this support and now as Chair of the La Roche-Posay North America grant review committee, I get to pay it forward and be a part of the very process that aided my path to where I am today.”
