Hyperkeratotic Skin

Hyperkeratotic skin conditions, such as psoriasis and keratosis pilaris, are associated with increased transepidermal water loss (TEWL).1,2 Hyperkeratotic skin benefit from topical formulations that hydrate to soften keratin and promote desquamation, while remaining gentle to skin and respecting the skin barrier. CeraVe combines ingredients like salicylic acid and 10% urea paired with ceramides and hyaluronic acid to smooth skin and help restore the protective skin barrier.

Keratosis Pilaris

The CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser and Cream regimen was test on 45 women ages 18-50 years with moderate tactile and visual roughness additional mild to moderate follicular erythema on the upper arms or outer thighs diagnosed as keratosis pilaris by a dermatologist.
